Take Us With You. Bring Back a Story.
20 Years of Haunting America • 2007–2027
Going ghost hunting this Halloween?
Take True Hauntings of America along for the adventure—and bring back your story! Whether you investigate a historic location, encounter something inexplicable at home, or remember an experience that has stayed with you for years, we want to hear about it.
You do not have to be a professional ghost hunter. Firsthand paranormal experiences from anywhere in the world are welcome. Stories in other languages may be translated into English for publication.
Our twentieth-anniversary celebration
In January 2027, True Hauntings of America celebrates twenty years of sharing haunting stories. We hope to feature up to 31 reader-submitted experiences during January, beginning with a special feature on January 1.
Anniversary deadline: December 25, 2026, 11:59 PM Eastern Time. Submission does not guarantee publication or an award.
After January, Take Us With You! continues as an ongoing, year-round reader-story series.
